Heavy rains from Thursday night flooded streets on Oahu's Windward side.
Some drivers chanced it and ended up stuck in the waters.
The Waiahole Bridge was closed off for two hours after the stream began to overflow and fill the roads.
Traffic in both directions were backed up for miles. It opened just around noon.
No one was injured but several cars were pushed around in the raging waters.
"The car started floating backwards, so I thought I could just get out to the dry part but then I got stuck behind a log. I was gonna crawl out my window and swim home but I wasn't really sure what the best option was," Brooke Hall, Kaneohe resident, said.
Department of Health has issued a brown water advisory has been issued from Waiahole to Kahuku.
