Former American Idol contestant, Jurnee, stopped by Good Morning Hawaii Friday.

The Top 10 Finalist from Season 1 on ABC, is in Hawaii for the Honolulu Pride Parade and Festival.  Fellow contestant, Ada Vox will also be performing at the event.

This year, the Honolulu Pride Parade and Festival will take place on Saturday 20 October from 11am, kicking off with the annual Parade down Kalakaua Avenue, finishing at the Waikiki Shell at Diamond Head Greens.

There will be over 100 moving parts in the parade this year, with more than 31,000 spectators and participants.

Kelly Sanders will be the Grand Marshal of the parade, and designer Andrew Christian, along with West Hollywood Model and The Abbey Bartender Cory Z. will be the Emcees for the festival.

The festival gates open at 11:30am, with entertainment starting from 12.45pm. Donations on entry are welcomed.

  • 12.45pm: Opening, welcome and blessing by Kumu Brad Lum
  • 1pm: National and State Anthem by GMCoH
  • 1.30pm: Gay Men’s Chorus of Honolulu
  • 2.15pm: Jared Ming & Friends with Blazing Saddles Hawai’i
  • 3pm: Kings and Queens of Hawai’i
  • 4.pm: Bruce Vilanch
  • 4.15pm: Amora Dior Black
  • 4.30pm: Jurnee
  • 5pm: Sasha Colby
  • 5.15pm: Ada Vox

 Also in the Gay Island Guide Drink Oasis will be a line-up of DJs – including DJ TittaByte, DJ EmVee, DJ Dawna Montell and DJ Jesus Montanez.

Food and Beverage:

There will be X bars and food offering, including Da Taco Man, Dick’s Lechon, Istanbul Restaurant INC., Nico’s Pier 38 at Kailua and Royal Hawaiian Hot Dog Co.
