You can choose to have your ceremony at one of three designated areas. There are four rooms that can accommodate a guest count as small as 25 to 500+.
So many brides and grooms select this venue of choice because it is away from the hustle and bustle of town or Waikiki. There's free parking, something different rather than a traditional room with walls; stunning serene views from the rooms, especially the Glass Ballroom.
Ko'olau Ballrooms is a hidden gem on the hidden gem on the windward side nestled in acres of greenery and having the Ko'olau Mountains as a backdrop is absolutely a beautiful, breathtaking, and picture perfect to capture your special day.
Once a month they host a complimentary up to four guests group food tasting featuring three entrees, three salads and wedding cake sampler. It's a wonderful opportunity to taste food and talk with the Chef about menu selection/food options for your big day. It's very popular that books up quickly, reservations required.
Chef Jim whips up a delicious roasted broccoli cashew salad on Good Morning Hawaii:
1 # fresh broccoli, cut into florets
6 slices bacon
3/4 cup mayonnaise 1 Tbsp rice wine vinegar
1 Tbsp sugar
1/4 cup raisins
1/2 cup roasted cashews
1/8 cup thin sliced sweet onion
Pre heat oven to 400 degrees, place the bacon in a sauté pan and cook unit crisp. Remove the bacon to a plate lined with a paper towel to drain. Reserve 1 Tbsp of the fat for the dressing.
Place the broccoli florets on a lightly oiled sheet pan and place in the oven until the edges of the broccoli start to brown and crisp. Remove the broccoli form the oven and allow to cool.
Whisk together the 1 Tbsp bacon fat, the mayonnaise, vinegar and sugar.
Reserve a small amount of the bacon bits, raisins and cashews to garnish the top of the salad.
In a large bowl, toss together the broccoli2 bacon bits, raisins, cashews and onion. Toss lightly with the dressing and transfer to a serving bowl. Garnish with the reserved bacon, cashes and raisins and allow to chill for 1-2 hours before serving.
