HONOLULU - Veterans and their families can get housing and home-buying advice at the 2018 Veterans Housing Summit in Honolulu. 

The event is designed to guide veterans through the home buying process, the VA Home Loan Program, VA appraisals, building good credit and relocating pets and vehicles. To date, the summit has provided housing counseling to 975 low and moderate income families, and has placed 750 military families in homes through a variety of programs.

The two-day summit will be held on Saturday, Sept. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and on Sunday, Sept. 16 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. The summit is organized by the USA Homeownership Foundation, INC., and the DBA Veterans Association of Real Estate Professionals (VAREP).
