Governor Ige urges the Islands to prepare for Hurricane Lane
Governor Ige isn't taking any chances when it comes to preparing for Hurricane Lane.
Ige said Tuesday that Hurricane Lane is behaving unlike any other hurricane he's seen before.
People in Hawaii need to be prepared and take it seriously.
"The dramatic changes in the forecast, I've not seen such dramatic changes as we've seen with this storm," Governor Ige said.
The Governor also signed an Emergency Proclamation activating the State's "Disaster Fund" which will allow for much faster response time if necessary.
Governor Ige reports FEMA, the Federal Emergency Management Agency has supplies stored across every country and if needed, there is talk about activating the National Guard.
