Hurricane Hector slightly increases strength with sustained winds at 130 mph, a category 4 hurricane and continues to move west.

As of 9:12AM Friday morning, deep tropical moisture is being brought up from the south as Hector moves westerly. Rising humidity levels make muggy conditions and temperatures feel warmer than the day time high of 85-90 degrees.

Today windward and mountain areas will remain wet with occasional showers elsewhere. Drier air mass will be moving in from the west setting up a dry and sunny weekend. Winds from the East 15-20mph.
A small craft advisory in effect until 6PM Saturday, surf: East 2-5', South 3-5' rising 4-7' Saturday, West 1-3', North 2-4'. Elevated tides are expected around 3PM this afternoon.
