The 80-ton transformer was delayed, but it's now on the move
UPDATE - Due to an earlier concrete spill on the H-1 Freeway, the planned transportation of an eighty-ton transformer was delayed.
According to Hawaiian Electric Crews the transformer has just left its Ewa Nui substation in Kapolei to the Pukele substation in Palolo Valley.
Drivers should expect delays, arrival time is expected to be at 2PM. Because of the weight of the load, the vehicle has to travel at most 15 mph on the roadway, and about five mph across bridges.
