Crews continue to repair an 8 inch pipe in Pearl City that caused a water main break around 2 p.m. Monday.

The break happened at 1720 Hoohulu St., and is affecting about 20 homes and two fire hydrants.

Affected customers are on a half-block of Hoohulu St., which is closed between Komo Mai Dr. and the Hooia St. intersection.

A water wagon is located at 1998 Hoohulu St. for the affected residents.

Water service to the Waiau District Park and Waiau Fire Station are unaffected.

Crews shut off water to the affected areas at about 12:30 p.m.

Customers in the surrounding neighborhoods are encouraged to conserve water until further notice.
