PUNA, HAWAII - The state's dropping the speed limit on a main highway in lower Puna. Now, it's 25 miles per hour on one portion of Highway 130 - also called the Keaau-Pahoa road.

The state says it's a safety measure, because it put steel plates over the cracks caused by the volcanic activity. Highway 130 is now the only route for some residents of lower Puna, after Highway 137 closed last Saturday.
