Reporter and producer Eliza Larson came to Hawaii after deciding she was fed up with the cold. Before joining the team at KITV Island News, she was a reporter and anchor at WCAX in Burlington, Vermont. Prior to that, she was earning her Master's degree from Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University. Half of that program was spent in Chicago, the rest in Washington D.C. To complete her degree, she did a three month-long fellowship program for the National Security Journalism Initiative. The focus of her project was on landmines, which took her to Ukraine for an imbedded reporting trip. She's originally from Minnesota, so don't get her started on hockey because she will never shut up.

When she's not in the newsroom, you can find Eliza in the water or taking a trail run. She says the most wonderful thing about living in Hawaii is that you can be outside all year.
