HONOLULU - Hundreds of keiki and families rallied at the State Capitol today in support of Native Hawaiian early childhood programs and the importance of family involvement in early childhood education.

Demonstrators visited with Senators and Representatives to spread the importance of Family Child Interaction Learning, or parent participation preschools.

The mostly free FCIL programs are used by many families who can’t afford preschool, don’t qualify for financial assistance, or choose to keep their children with them.
