HONOLULU - Three men arrested in the conspiracy case against the former Honolulu police chief pleaded not guilty in federal court Wednesday.

Former Honolulu Police Department Maj. Gordon Shiraishi, HPD officer Bobby Nguyen and Lt. Derek Hahn are accused of playing roles in the alleged mailbox theft conspiracy that led to the arrests of former chief Louis Kealoha and his wife Deputy Prosecutor Katherine Kealoha.

The men are free on a $50,000 bond.  Trial is scheduled for Dec. 19.
