A new study by the American Heart Association has found that coconut oil may not be healthy after all. 

Commonly sold as a healthier alternative to other oils, the AHA says it's just as unhealthy as butter. 

According to the study, coconut oil is made up of about 82 percent saturated fat, which is much greater than most other oils.

The AHA suggests vegetable oils like canola, safflower and corn.

 The study does point out coconut oil is good for external use.
