Hawaii U.S. Representative Tulsi Gabbard is gaining popularity as a possible presidential candidate in 2020.

But her approval rating continues to drop here at home.

In their latest state-wide poll, KITV's partners at Civil Beat showed a 14 percent drop, from 64 to 50 percent positive over the last two years.

Gabbard was highly criticized for meeting with Donald Trump before his inauguration and for her secret visit to Syria, meeting with President Bashar Al-Assad.

When it comes to party approval - virtually equal: Republicans at 48 percent and Democrats at 49.
