HONOLULU - Some students from Kaimuki Christian School made history as being among the first people allowed on the White House tour since President Donald Trump took office.

The students are on a 7-day trip with three faculty members and four parent chaperones.  This bi-annual visit for grades 9 and 10 allows students to see and experience what they learn in history class.

The students were part of the very first group to tour Trump's White House at 8 :30 a.m.  One of the parents in a later morning tour group saw the president in a surprise appearance.
