Station Bar and Lounge closes in Honolulu
HONOLULU - Over the last few years, it's became a place for many up and coming musicians to come together, but on Saturday night-- it was goodbye to the Station Bar and Lounge.
The final show featured 10 bands. Blane Nishizawa, the owner of Station Bar and Lounge told KITV the bar lost its lease after the building was sold late last year.
When Nishizawa opened the bar four and half years ago he wanted to create a place for local musicians to showcase their talent.
"It's a gathering place for up and coming musicians," said Nishizawa, "so it means a lot of a lot of people."
Nishizawa told KITV he would re-consider re-opening the bar at another location, but it is difficult to find a new place in Honolulu.
