HONOLULU - Honolulu Police Department officials are investigating a critical crash on King Street.

All lanes of King Street at Cooke Street were closed due to the crash at around 1:45 a.m.  Monday.

Emergency Medical Services officials tell KITV a 33-year-old man was traveling the wrong way on his moped and collided with a vehicle.  He was taken to the hospital in critical condition.  The driver of the vehicle is reportedly a 32-year-old man from Mililani.  The Mililani man was arrested.

Police say alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash.

King Street was reopened before 5 a.m.
