Last week, the state’s two top-ranked teams battled for the ILH first-round title at the Aloha Stadium.

No. 1 Buffanblu and No. 2 Crusaders were evenly matched throughout the game, which went into overtime at 38-38, but ultimately, the Buffanblu were able to outlast the Crusaders behind Wayne Taulapapa's 164 yards rushing and 4 touchdowns. Final score: 51-45.

Tonight, Punahou was able to keep its winning streak in its match against Iolani with a final score of 35-23.  Buffanblu now 7-0. Raiders dropped to 2-5.

In Saint Francis vs. Pac-Five, the teams took the field at Aloha Stadium where the Saints runningback scored a 31-yard touchdown in the first quarter, which ended up being a three-point lead over the Wolfpack that lasted throughout the game. Final score: 12-9.

Meanwhile on the west side, the Kapolei Hurricanes scored its fourth consecutive win of the season in its game against the Aiea Na Ali’i. Hurricanes score all of their points in final quarter. Na Ali'i eliminated from playoff contention. Final score: 16-6.

OIA's regular season D-2 title was also on the line. 6-1 Nanakuli hosted unbeaten Radford at 7-0. The Rams remain undefeated with a total of 10 sacks on the Golden Hawks.

It's been a rough time for defending D-1 state champion Mililani who lost senior-quarter McKenzie Milton in their 45-21 win against Kailua last week.

On Monday, doctors diagnosed Milton with a separated shoulder. He's out for at least 3-to-5 weeks but will not need surgery. But tonight, the Trojans were able to overtake Na Menehune without Milton, closing the game 60-36.

On the Big Island, KS-Hawaii shut out Honokaa at 35-0. And in double overtime, Kealakehe edged Hilo at 30-29, taking away the Vikings' three-game win streak.

And over on Maui, Baldwin blasted Lahainaluna at 30-8. Bears now 4-3. Lunas drop to 3-5.
