Repairs are continuing in the Wilson Tunnel ceiling in the Honolulu-bound direction of the Likelike Highway, according to the state Department of Transportation.

The left lane of the highway heading toward town will be closed until further notice.  The speed limit in the tunnel has been reduced to 25 miles per hour. Crews are fixing ceiling tiles and other equipment that are creating safety issues for drivers.

DOT officials say the repairs could take weeks to finish.

Motorists can use the Pali Highway and the H-3 Freeway as alternatives.  The Kaneohe-bound direction on the Likelike Highway is not impacted.

Intermittent closures of the right lane may be necessary during non-peak commute hours. Please expect delays and drive cautiously.
