She has a true passion for Hawai'i and it’s people and takes pride in keeping them informed, alert and enlightened.
Moanike'ala was born on O'ahu and raised in Pearl City. She graduated from Moanalua High School and earned a bachelor's degree at the University of Hawai'i at Manoa.
Prior to her career at KITV, she was a contributing reporter for Ka Leo O Hawai'i and feature reporter for OC 16 talk show Living Local.
In 2009, she started at KITV as weekend weather anchor then eventually became the station's prime time weather anchor leading the station's coverage during Hawai'i's 2015 record breaking hurricane season.
