HAWAI'I (KITV4) -- Light trade winds Wednesday with some showers for the eastern islands of Maui and the Big Island.

Tonight, mostly clear skies with a few passing trade wind showers late night. Lows in the lower 70s. ENE winds at 5-15 mph.

Trade winds will trend down Wednesday.

Expect partly cloudy skies windward with mostly sunny skies for leeward spots. Highs in the upper 80s. ENE winds 5-15 mph.

An area of moisture will approach and move into the eastern end of the state from the east late tonight through Wednesday, which will keep the rain chances elevated Wednesday, mainly for Maui and the Big Island.
