- A surface trough will act as a focus for heavy showers and
thunderstorms over Oahu through the weekend. The bulk of the
rainfall is expected to fall over windward slopes and coasts,
but some heavy showers could spread to leeward areas, where
stream flow could also become elevated.

MAUI COUNTY, Hawaii (KITV4) -- A Maui teen is in critical condition after falling from a cliff into the ocean near Kailua over the weekend.
Rescuers responded to the scene on Saturday just after 1 p.m. According to the Maui Fire Department, the 16-year-old boy fell approximately 80 feet from the cliff into the ocean.
Rescuers say they found the boy on the rocky shoreline suffering from critical injuries from the fall. Authorities did not say who the boy was with when he fell or who called 911.
The boy was flown by medical helicopter to Maui Memorial Medical Center (MMMC) with possible spinal injuries. The boy has not been identified.
No other injuries were reported. This incident is still under investigation.
