* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...The island of Oahu in Honolulu County.
* WHEN...Until 815 PM HST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding on roads, poor drainage areas, and in
streams.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 654 PM HST, radar indicated widespread moderate rainfall
with embedded pockets of heavier rain moving across the
island. Rises on area streams have abated but stream levels
remain elevated at this time. Additional periods of heavy
rain are expected to develop this evening. Rain rates up to 1
inch per hour are expected with this rainfall.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Honolulu, Mililani, Pearl City, Waikele, Wahiawa, Wheeler
Field, Waipahu, Kunia, Aiea, Halawa, Schofield Barracks,
Waiahole, Waikane, Salt Lake, Moanalua, Kahaluu, Ahuimanu,
Iroquois Point, Ewa Beach and Kaaawa.

Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low lying areas prone
to flooding.

closed due to elevated runoff and overflowing streams. Urban areas
may receive more significant flooding and property damage due to
rapid runoff.

- An upper level low approaching the state will increase the
threat for heavy rainfall tonight through Monday. The
heaviest rainfall is expected to fall over windward and
mountain areas, but some periods of intense showers could
spread to leeward areas, where stream flow could also become
elevated.

All westbound lanes of H1 closed following 2-car crash in Kapolei
KAPOLEI, Hawaii (KITV4) -- All lanes of westbound the H-1 Freeway were shut down following a two-car crash near the Campbell Industrial Park off ramp, Monday evening.
The crash happened just after 4 p.m. A spokesperson with the Honolulu Fire Department tells KITV4 that extrication was needed for at least one person. So far there has been no word on possible injuries of their severity.
It is unclear how long the westbound lanes of the freeway will remain closed. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
As of 5:15 p.m., three lanes of the freeway were still closed.
