The Honolulu Police Department has seen a big increase in applications from the public to carry a firearm in the wake of the US Supreme Court's decision loosening gun rules.

HONOLULU (KITV4) -- The Honolulu Police Department has seen a big increase in applications from the public to carry a firearm in the wake of the US Supreme Court's decision loosening gun rules.

HPD Chief Joe Logan told the Honolulu Police Commission during its meeting Wednesday afternoon that during previous years, they've had as little as two applications and as many as 27.
