HONOLULU -- The Hawaii State Department of Health Hawaii (DOH) reported no new deaths related to COVID-19 and 92 new infections on Monday. The total number of deaths remained at 1,002. This is the second consecutive day this week that no COVID deaths have been reported.
Statewide test positivity over the last seven days is 1.5% -- Honolulu County is 1.5%, Hawaii County is 2.5%, Maui County is 1.4%, and Kauai County is 2.8%.
Since the start of the pandemic, there have been 86,939 total infections to date.
The new infections on each island stands as follows:
- Oahu: 48
- Hawaii Island: 13
- Maui: 19
- Kauai: 12
- Molokai: 0
- Lanai: 0
There were no new cases reported from out-of-state visitors.
There have been 1,524 COVID cases reported in the last 14 days and 4,982 cumulative hospitalizations – 72.4% of the population is fully vaccinated and 85.0% of state residents have had at least one dose. More than 150,000 residents have also received their COVID-19 booster shot.
The percentage of completed vaccinations per county stands as follows:
- Honolulu County: 75%
- Hawaii County 68%
- Maui County: 65%
- Kauai County: 68%
