Weddings up to 100 people outdoors are now allowed on Oahu

The wedding industry was hit hard during the COVID-19 pandemic but is slowly recovering now that most travel restrictions have been lifted.

Hawaii wedding professionals are gathering for the first wedding planning event since the pandemic started, Hawaii Wedding Festival, on Saturday, July 24th from 3-9pm and Sunday, July 25th 10am-4pm at Pearl Country Club.

Presented by Jez Events and Ho'okipa Events, the festival will include exhibitors, food trucks, retailers, a wedding gown fashion show and Hawaii’s first parade of wedding arches.

Reverend Maurice Tokuda-Higashi, founder and producer of the Hawaii Wedding Festival, joined Good Morning Hawaii to talk about the event.
