Michelle Wie struggles in Lotte Championship first round
Coming into the 2019 Lotte Championship, Michelle Wie said she is feeling 100 percent after hand surgery last fall but in the first round at Ko Olina Golf Club the Punahou grad admitted it was giving her problems. Wie struggled shooting 5-over and sits tied for 138th after the first round action.
Max Holloway responds after UFC 236 defeat
After losing for the first time since 2013 in UFC 236 to Dustin Poirier Saturday night, Waianae's Max Holloway responded via twitter. "Life is chutes and ladders. Sometimes we gotta take that slide down to get to the next big ladder. It is what it is. We keep playing. We keep fighting. Congrats to Dustin and Jolie. They should've already had a belt. Diamonds are forever."
UH men's volleyball falls in regular season finale at Long Beach State
For the second consecutive night, the top-ranked University of Hawaii men's volleyball team fell victim to No. 2 Long Beach State in five sets in the regular season finale Saturday at the Walter Pyramid. Set scores were 25-16, 18-25, 25-13, 23-25, 15-10.
UH softball sweeps UC Santa Barbara, Head Coach Bob Coolen notches win #1000
University of Hawaii softball head coach Bob Coolen led his team to a sweep over UC Santa Barbara to record his 1,000th win at Hawai'i. The Rainbow Wahine won both ends of Saturday's doubleheader winning 3-1 and 5-2 to complete the sweep to claim the top spot in the Big West with an 8-1 record.
