Wellness Wednesday has some sleep tips with Dr. Shanon Makekau, Chief of Pulmonary and Sleep at Kaiser Permanente Hawaii.  Adults who get less than the recommended 7-9 hours of continuous sleep per night are at a higher risk for obesity, cardiovascular disease, high blood pressure, type 2 diabetes, depression, anxiety, and a weakened immune system. Lack of sleep can also be harmful to your everyday life when it begins to affect your driving, cognitive skills, memory and mood.
