The Department of Transportation set to close Kuhio Highway to all traffic Thursday

The Department of Transportation is planning to close Kuhio Highway on Kaua'i to all traffic on Thursday. The closure will last from 8:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. between Waikoko and Wainiha while crews install a mesh system to stabilize slopes. The work will affect both the 12:45 and 1:15 scheduled convoy out of Waikoko.
