Justin ad-lib... Let's take a look at satellite and radar. Let's take a look at satellite and radar. It's been a cloudy Saturday with brief, spotty showers moving in with our moderate to breezy south winds. These Kona winds are coming out ahead of a cold front just west of Kauai County, where there is a severe thunderstorm watch until midnight. X Cloud and rain forecast shows the heaviest rain and thunderstorms associated with that front to linger near the Garden Isle through tomorrow, then slowly break apart heading into Monday. X Some forecast models show that line of severe weather making it to Oahu tomorrow and that's why Oahu and Kauai County remain under a flash flood watch until 6:00 P-M tomorrow. X As this storm falls apart tomorrow night into Monday, our trade wind-generating high pressure area should build back to our northeast. X Trades should build back Tuesday, pushing the volcanic haze out of most areas. Back to normal trade wind pattern due back Wednesday. X Until then, it'll feel a bit muggy ... despite temperatures at or just below average for this time of the year. X Right now in Honolulu, it's XX degrees... relative humidity is XX percent and winds are out of the XX at XX miles per hour. X Surf forecast for tomorrow. Declining northwest swell. South shore down from the little wind swell we had today. East shores a bit lower as well. Only tiny to small swells expected next week... one out of the south-southwest, another from the east-northeast and one out of the north- northwest. X A small craft advisory is in effect for many of our coastal waters because of the strong southerly winds. X Forecast for tonight. Cloudy with showers likely. Thunderstorms and locally heavy rain possible, especially Kauai and Oahu. Hazy with south-to- southeast winds at ten-to-20 plus. X Tomorrow, more of the same. The southerly winds should back of a bit and we may start to see some pockets of sun, especially over Maui County and the Big Island. X Four-day forecast. Decreasing clouds, showers and haze Monday and Tuesday at trades fight back. X Back to normal trade wind weather Wednesday, Thursday. Enjoy it. Another round of hazy, unsettled Kona weather may move in heading into next weekend.
