Aloha Hawai'i.. starting off with a look out at our sunset tonight...not the clearest skies, but still gorgeous off leeward o'ahu as seen by terry reis, Sunrise up at 10 before 6 tomorrow morning. Even with the trades, its gonna be a warm week. Highs got up into the mid to upper 80's... temperatures right now ....Here's a look at our trade wind maker, high pressure north northeast of the islands, that'll likely be the dominant feature through the week, helping to keep the trade winds moving. Showers will pick up a bit windward and mauka, you can see those clouds and showers upwind of the islands. Because, trades are on the breezier side at times, leeward spots will get hit with some splashes tonight. last week, we were talking about a major hurricane off Mexico, Cristina...well..its died off but its leftovers sending us some surf come tomorrow. East shores, bumping up to about 3 to 5 feet. That's the only real boost we're looking at for surf this week. Bump up through thursday..and then pretty quiet. small craft advisory in effect for waters around maui county and the big island. So great looking weather through the rest of the work week. Trades running at 10 to 20 miles an hour, no complaints...overnight to early morning showers windward and mauka.
