Word travels fast.

You don't have to tell that to the agents at the HIS travel agency.

The phones have not stopped ringing all day.

"The local people are so excited because once they see this price because it's never been done," said Rina Fabela, the assistant supervisor of H.I.S. Hawaii travel agency.

On Sunday, the agency released its lowest deal ever to Japan, $198 round-trip flight on Hawaiian Airlines to Osaka, tax included.

The agency said that same flight can average $1,100.

"You can't find that cheap price anywhere. Even just to go to the neighbor island you pay that price or more to go to an international destination with that price. It's great," said Oahu resident Aya Yoshida.

If there is a catch it’s the flight leaves on April 30, returning May 3 and it's roughly a 7.5 hour flight each way.

The agency said normally it charters flights to Hawaii during Japan's Golden Week but the planes return empty.

"They are coming to Japan here and the flights going back to Japan is going to be empty, so we decided to sell the empty flights for the local people here," said Fabela.
