The National Weather Service in Honolulu has extended a flood advisory for the island of Oahu until 7:45 p.m. Sunday.
At 5:26 p.m., radar showed rain gradually ending from west to east across Oahu, with light-to-moderate rain over the eastern half of the island. Although rain is diminishing, the flood advisory remains in effect for all of Oahu as runoff and ponding from earlier rainfall gradually eases.
Stay away from streams, drainage ditches and low-lying areas prone to flooding. Rainfall and runoff will also cause hazardous driving conditions due to ponding, reduced visibility and poor braking action. Do not cross fast-flowing or rising water in your vehicle or on foot.
A flash flood watch is also in effect for Oahu until 6 p.m. Sunday.
