A high surf warning remains in effect until 6 am HST Wednesday.
Surf...along east facing shores of Kauai Oahu Molokai and
western Maui...increasing to 10 to 15 feet today.
Timing...building this morning and then peaking later today. The
large surf will be reinforced on Wednesday by swell from distant
Hurricane Jimena. Elevated surf will persist through at least
Impacts...high...expect ocean water occasionally sweeping across
portions of beaches...very strong breaking waves...and strong
longshore and rip currents. Breaking waves may occasionally
impact harbors...making navigating The Harbor channel dangerous.
These dangerous conditions mean that only highly experienced

entering the water very hazardous. Anyone entering the water
could face significant injury or death.
