Maui County officials say a park in Haiku is closed until further notice after a tree fell down on Friday.
A large 40-foot-tall eucalyptus tree at the Fourth Marine Division Memorial Park fell narrowly missing a picnic pavilion.
Thirty mile-per-hour winds and the saturated grounds contributed to the fall, according to officials.
The park, in the area known as "Giggle Hill," was closed Friday after the county arborist identified the potential for two other trees to fall due to the saturated grounds, rain and strong winds.
