Follow @JustinFujioka He joined KITV in November 2002 as an associate news producer and producer of the station's weekend weather forecasts. Justin jumped in front of the camera as weekend weather anchor in October 2003.Justin has been interested in the study of meteorology since the age of 10. His first experience in television weather forecasting came at KITV in 1994, where he toured the station and even tried to deliver the weather in front of the camera. In 2007, Justin earned his Certificate in Broadcast Meteorology from Mississippi State University. He is a professional member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association and has a television seal of approval from both organizations.Justin won an Emmy Award in 2008 from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (Northern California Area) for Best On-Camera Talent in Weather. He also won a Mark Twain Award from the Associated Press Television-Radio Association (Western Region) for Best Weathercast Segment (Class 2) in 2010.Born and raised in Honolulu, Justin is a graduate of Kaimuki High School. In 2003, Justin received his bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, where he also reported and edited for school's newspaper, Ka Leo O Hawaii.
