POSTED: 9:49 pm HST March 19, 2010

The National Weather Service has issued a high surf advisory for the south facing shores of all islands, effective 4 a.m. Saturday and continuing through 6 p.m. Sunday.

Occasional sets may reach 10 feet in face along affect shorelines this weekend, before lowering Sunday night.

A high surf advisory means that high surf will affect beaches in the advisory area, producing rip currents and localized beach erosion.
