High surf advisories are in effect along north- and west-facing shores with waves coming in around 10 to 15 feet, according to National Weather Service.

Surf along north- and west-facing shores of Kauai and Niihau, including north shores of Oahu and Molokai will be 14 to 18 feet. Surf on the west side of Molokai will be 8 to 12 feet.

Maui and the Big Island will be experiencing high surf throughout the day, about 10 to 15 feet, along the north shores, according to National Weather Service.

Advisories are in effect because high surf produces rip currents and localized beach erosion.
