Day 8 of fall camp continued Friday afternoon for the University of Hawaii football team.

First-year Warrior head coach Norm Chow is always preaching competition.

As UH enters a week with 2-a-day practices, it's the daily contest that keeps camp fresh.

"Competition breeds athletes and better people, so if we come out here and compete with ourselves, Saturday's going to be easy," said Warriors linebacker George Daily-Lyles.

Countdown to kickoff is just 22 days away until the Warriors showdown with USC on Sept. 1.

The Warriors will be back on the practice field Saturday at 10:45 a.m.
