SDSU gives Hawaii third straight blowout 52-14
Warriors drop to 1-4 on the season; homecoming game next against New Mexico
The University of Hawaii football team was dominated by San Diego St. University in San Diego Saturday 52-14.
The Aztecs scored the first three touchdowns of the game and never looked back.
The Warriors were able to avoid a shutout with a touchdown pass from Sean Schroeder in the second quarter and a 3-yard run by Will Gregory in the third quarter.
But, San Diego St. dominated in just about every aspect of the game. The Aztecs gained 412 total yards to Hawaii's 173 yards.
San Diego St. also nearly doubled the Warriors passing yards (218 yards to 112 yards) and more than tripled Hawaii's rushing yards (194 yards to 61 yards).
Hawaii also had three turnovers in the game.
The Warriors drop to 1-4 on the season while the Aztecs improve to 3-3.
Combining the points for every game this season, Hawaii has been outscored 219 to 102.
The Warriors will play New Mexico (3-3) for its homecoming game at Aloha Stadium on Oct. 13.
