HONOLULU -- Alaska Airlines on Monday announced it will begin flights between Kahului and Seattle this summer.
The daily flights are planned to start July 17.
Alaska Air is also planning flights twice a week between Maui and Anchorage, company officials said. Those flights will operate twice a week and run from Oct. 31 to April 25, 2009.
Alaska Air will begin selling tickets April 10.
Company executives said they had great success with routes to Kauai and are continuing to study possibilities for more service, particularly with the closing of Aloha and ATA airlines.
