Annual Thanksgiving feasts at five Hawaii hotels have been cancelled due to the ongoing strike.

A spokesperson for the Marriott-managed properties told KITV4 limited staff at the Kai Market at the Sheraton Waikiki, Azure at The Royal Hawaiian, Beachhouse at the Moana Surf rider, Pikake Terrace at the Sheraton Princess Kaiulani, and ROCKsalt at Sheraton Maui means diners who made reservations will have to look for meals elsewhere.

All guests who made reservations have been contacted.

The Royal Hawaiian is offering a Thanksgiving take-out meal to guests. Call (808) 921-4600 for more.

More than 2,700 workers with Unite Here Local 5 walked off their jobs on October 8. That's 42 days ago, and they're still chanting and marching outside of those hotels.

Contract negotiations with the hotels are expected to resume after Turkey Day.

A union representative told KITV4 that usually Thanksgiving is not a day off for members because many cook and serve hotel guests. This year those workers will stay behind the picket line.

The union is planning a community Thanksgiving meal and will invite hotel guests. Details are still pending.
