HONOLULU - Bikeshare company, Biki, rolls over a new milestone breaking 100,000 rides last month. That's a 62% increase compared to last October -- resulting an average of 3 rides per bike per day.

Executive Director of Bikeshare Hawaii Todd Boulange said the progress demonstrates that both Honolulu residents and visitors are seeing the benefits.

Biki plans to expand by adding 30 stations with 300 bikes to its system by the end of 2018, thanks to Federal Transportation Alternative Program funds.  Residents can expect expansions into neighborhoods including Iwilei, Makiki and UH Manoa.
