HONOLULU - Voters are at the polls Tuesday having a say on whether Democrats or Republicans will take control of who leads Hawaii next, and also Congress, in Washington.

All 435 seats in the House of Representatives are up for voting, and 35 in the Senate.

Democrats need 23 seats to take back control of the House. They also need two seats in the Senate.

So far, at least 36 million Americans have already voted early this midterm. 20 million had voted during the last midterm.

With Hawaii ranked as the state with the lowest voter turnout, more candidates are building a presence on social media, in hopes of targeting a younger voter demographic.
