The Senate Judiciary Committee hearing sent a spike in sex assault calls to the the National Sexual Assault Hotline.

It reports more than a 200% increase in calls last Thursday.

According to the Rape, Abuse, and Incest National Network, it's not unusual to see an increase in calls when sexual assault is in the news.

RAINN says, since Christine Blasey Ford came forward with allegations against Kavanaugh, the hotline has seen a 45.6% increase in calls compared to this same time last year.
