HONOLULU (KITV) - Central Pacific Hurricane Center has reported as of 5 a.m. Wednesday that the storm has weakened enough to lift the Tropical Storm Warning for Hawaii Island. The storm is forecast to continue weakening through the day Wednesday.

The Hawaii County Civil Defense Agency says police, fire, and road crews reported no problems overnight, but due to the storm's location, emphasis of monitoring was focused in the Hamakua, Kohala and North Kona district.

All schools are open on Hawaii Island, including all after school activities.
