HONOLULU (KITV) - State employees have been granted administrative leave on Maui, Lana'i and Moloka'i as Hawaii braces for Tropical Storm Olivia. State offices on the above listed islands will be closed Wednesday, September 12th. 

Employees who fall under the following categories are required to report to work, unless that employee is determined excused:

  • Departmental Disaster/Emergency Coordinators
  • Disaster Response Workers
  • Employees who's work involves continuing crucial operations and services, such as hospital works, correctional workers, etc.
