The Little League World Series Championship Parade will take place Saturday, September 8 in downtown Honolulu.

The parade features the Royal Hawaiian Band, school groups, and the 2018 Little League World Series Champions, the Honolulu Little League All Stars.

Eighteen units are expected to participate in the parade and a celebration will be held at Honolulu Hale immediately following the parade.

The parade, on King Street, begins at approximately 10 a.m., starting at Bishop Square, and proceeding past Honolulu Hale.

There will be traffic detours in Chinatown and Downtown Honolulu, they are the following:

Motorists are advised that street closures and detours for the parade will affect traffic in the downtown Honolulu areas on the morning of Saturday, September 8, 2018.

Traffic flow will be modified on the following streets:

  • Two lanes on Bishop Street will closed from Beretania Street to King Street.
  • Alakea Street will be converted into a two-way street from Hotel Street to King Street.

Traffic lanes and streets will be closed on Saturday, September 8 as follows:

  • 8:00 a.m.:  Two Diamond Head lanes Bishop Street from Beretania Street to King Street
  • 8:00 a.m.:  One mauka lane on King Street from Fort Street Mall to Alakea Street
  • 9:30 a.m.:  King Street will close progressively along the parade route and reopen progressively after the parade and the following streets will closed as indicated.

·         Richards Street Mauka of King Street will be closed at Beretania Street.

·         Alakea Street will be converted into a two-way contraflow from Hotel Street to King Street.

·         Punchbowl Street closed between Beretania and King Streets. Makai-bound traffic will be detoured to Beretania Street.

·         Alakea Street will be closed at Queen Street

·         Mililani Street will be closed at Queen Street
