WAIKIKI, Hawaii - The Honolulu Gay & Lesbian Cultural Foundation (HGLCF) ended its 29th Annual Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival (HRFF29) with its signature Red Carpet Event on August 18. The HRFF is one of the longest-running LGBT film festivals in the country. This year, the Festival showcased 15 films as well as special events and exclusive appearances over the span of two consecutive weekends.

HRFF29 screened films from around the world, plus offered discussions with delegates and a day of women-specific programs on August 11 presented by 2018 partner ClexaCon, a media and entertainment convention for LGBTQ women and allies. "We’re also proud to announce a new partnership with APQFFA, the Asian Pacific Queer Film Festival Alliance, who sponsored a showcase of short films from notable festivals including ShanghaiPRIDE and Rainbow Reel Tokyo," says festival director Dylan Arrieta.
