A Tropical Storm Warning has been issued for the Big Island. Potential winds speeds up to 39-60 MPH and potential localized flooding rain are possible.
As of 8:05AM Wednesday, Hurricane Hector is a category 3 with winds of 120 mph.
              It is less than 220 miles to the south-southeast of Hilo, Hawaii and moving to the west at 16 mph.
High Surf Warning for Big island east and southeast shores and High Surf Advisory for Maui east shores. A Hurricane Warning is issued for Hawaiian offshore waters beyond 40-240 nautical miles. Seas given as significant wave height and today NE winds 10-15 kt N of 24N, NE 15-25 kt elsewhere. Seas 7-11' with scattered thunderstorms. A Wind Advisory is also posted for Lana'i.
          Windy conditions as Hurricane Hector and a high pressure system to the North tightens up the pressure gradient delivering winds 15-30MPH through Thursday. Partly sunny skies with temperatures in the high 80s.
Surf for North and East shores 3-5', South 3-6' and West 2-4'. High tides could cause coastal flooding and damages, those near the coastlines should practice precautionary measures.
